Shame on me

Must’ve been making some money with all those pancakes. Most of it probably went to syrup though

Four on the shop floor making zero money :money_with_wings:

I don’t recall Landa coils coming in SS but definitely Alkota, Easy-Kleen and Hydro Tek that I know of

Yes, on the HP. I don’t know how you have everything setup to be able to tell you how to plumb it. But you’ll just reverse the flow on it, let it free/open flow and clear it out. You may have to get rid of the HP filter you have now and plumb up a different one, I dunno I’m not firmiliar with that design on yours.

Is a Whisper Jet Classic, will reverse it and report the outcome.

How do you clean and winterize your hot water machine?

You can run diluted muriatic acid through the hoses to clean out buildup if you’re seeing black stuff coming out of the end of the hose. Otherwise there’s not much “cleaning” to be done. Winterizing is simple. Drop inlet hose in a container of antifreeze and start the machine at low idle. Let it run until you see antifreeze coming out of the hose and then shut it down. Done

I’ve never cleaned a coil other than washing the outside when I had them out to rewrap them. To winterize I had to do a few more steps than most. Shut off the water supply at the pump head, crack open the soap tank lid, and blow air through the pump to clear soap from my line leading to pump, close soap valve, hook up jumper from pump to 5 gallon bucket of straight rv antifreeze, start the machine and open up the jumper hose, crack open the supply a bit to help prime the pump then close it off completely, cycle unloader constantly while waiting to get antifreeze to spray, stop the machine and uncouple gun and put the hose back in the antifreeze bucket, blow air through pump to clear most of the antifreeze from coil and hose, completely drain supply tank, blow garden hose back into tank, open supply and blow water from inline strainer back into tank.

I sincerely appreciate your expertise but quite frankly lost you after shut off the water supply lol. I’m mechanically inclined but have no training other than barn yard mechanics. This and You Tube will give me a bunch to chew on this fall.
