I have a job coming up where i need to pressure wash a composite deck and i dont have much experience with this material. Will a mild SH solution damage it? Ive also heard Dawn soap works? Or is just water pressure emough to get it clean? Any advise is appreciated!
I use about 1% hw mix on them and always had great results. I’ve used up to 6% to treat stained spots that the 1% didn’t touch.

IMO composite decks are one of the easiest to clean. A good 10 minute pretreat soak, deck brush to the really bad areas, then 1200psi rinse. I’ve never needed to, or wanted to attempt higher pressure than that.

The older Trex seems more porous and if the growth is really bad, needs a stronger mix. But Nick is right that usually HW mix does the trick.

I usually go 3-4% on old porous composite, very easy clean

I use sh on all composit decks. 1st gen trex is the worse. I hate it.
