So I have these aluminum doors at my station. You can see how chalky they are. We’re wanting to make them shine again.
I was thinking a 1-2 percent batch, dwell 5-10, rinse and see how that works. Just trying to get clean so we can throw a coat of this product we got to make em shine again. The first picture is the back/inside of the door and you can see how shiny it is.
I don’t think they will be shiny again but I would treat it like a truck. Downstream a light degreaser and scrub. Rinse with about 800 psi. That’s what I’d try. As long as that paint/power coat isn’t failing it will hold up fine.
Who said that? It’s oxidized, type in oxidation in the search bar and you’ll learn of a couple different products that others have successfully used to remove it.
Im not sure why you feel like I’m arguing? My last reply was more of a question to just see if anyone else had done that. Also, if you actually read the entire posts, where do you see that I argued with every reply? I’m just trying to get suggestions from more experienced guys, and was just throwing out the statement/question to see what you guys thought about it? Did I say I was going to go and do it? No, I didn’t. Get off your high horse bro. I read a good bit of your educated comments and take it in as good knowledge but Ive also read some of your other stuff and more often than not, you come off crappy brother. Sorry you misinterpreted what I wrote.
Thanks man. Gonna give that a shot. Just read a good bit of Racers deck cleaning 101 post. You got some good info on there and some nice before and afters. Just did my first deck, but it was painted and the wood was crap. Came decently clean.
