Last I checked though, they’re providing a service by giving us a forum to share ideas on which costs money to maintain.
This is all well and good but what 'em Gators?!
Heath, thanks again for making this resource available. I sure wish something like this existed when I was first shopping around for a good supplier.
I know it wasn’t your intention, but I hope you gain much SEO juice by hosting these directories on your site. That you paid for.
My man @Ikii got the grill blasting on the other thread and you guys are over here throwing handbags at each other over a fricken link to a website.
Hey, I resemble that comment.
But go ahead, drop some more truth bombs on us. That was hilarious by the way.
Health’s website costs money to maintain, so does yours and all of ours. Instead of threads of commentary to help others he has links and maps of suppliers to help. I don’t see much of a difference honestly
See, that’s what you and Infinity don’t understand, but both of you’ll are young and part of the woke and entitled generation, lol. Real friends can disagree and still be friends. Heath and I are, we talk regularly and I know that if I need something he’ll help me out and vice versa. Lord knows @Innocentbystander and I disagree on stuff all the time, but we’re still friends and he’s the first one I call if I have a mechanical problem. Been married over 40 years and my wife and I disagree on stuff almost daily.
What Heath does, doesn’t affect me me one bit, he’s 1500 miles away. I personally would have posted those lists on a neutral site or on here and then shared the link to here, just to avoid any sense of impropriety. But that’s just me.
At my age, I don’t have any agenda. And I personally think that it’s not the smartest thing to do. There are tons of new washers all over the country. I’m just of the belief that they should have some stake in the game, in other words put in some effort. If you can’t find a supplier and a place to buy SH with all the info available on the internet, then you don’t need to be in the business. Anyone with $500 can put downward pressure on your pricing in your area. I’m of the belief that we need to raise the professionalism of the industry, not necessarily make it easier for more to enter. All you have to do is look at any of the FB groups out there in pressure washing and see some of the questions asked and you realize that there’s a good sized quota of people in this industry that probably shouldn’t even be allowed to ever leave their homes in the morning, much less be out washing someone’s property.
We just view how to help the industry differently. That’s ok. I think things like resources and databases are helpful. Same reason I have my standard pricing available so there is a baseline to look at.
I do think calling @Infinity and @DJPWS entitled and woke is off base. I think Alex is older than that. Dustin gets a pass as we know he works his tail off.
But we all come here for help or to offer help. We just go about it differently. Your Youtube Channel and deck thread are the exact same things just different topics. They’re very helpful things too.
Thanks for the defense, but I’m fine.
I’m 33, so definitely could fall into the generation Rick is speaking of.
I personally don’t see ‘woke’ as a putdown. The fact it is used as such, is a sad commentary on our society, imo. But I don’t think Rick really meant in that way.
‘Entitled’ is a bit harsh, but I think every generation has seen those younger than them as ‘entitled’ in some way. And there’s little way of arguing against it. The previous generation has always had it a little tougher than us. If the goal is for your kids to have a better life than you did, then that’s a form of entitlement, really.
So again, no offense taken.
And I consider many people here friends, including those that I’ve had strong disagreements with.
I said off base, I didn’t say wrong
Sorry Alex. Maybe it’s Heath that’s the woke one.
Stay woke
Anyone know a supplier in South East Massachusetts? I’m looking to get into the soft wash business (I’m tired of sitting in a windowless box all day), but cant find a supplier down here (Cape Cod). Thanks!
