I looked in the search and couldn’t find anything. I am going to be cleaning a commercial building soon that is austin stone. There is a lot of deep dark black spots and I will need a pretty hot mix. There is no vegetation to worry about, but a few of the windows have window decals that are on the exterior of the window. While I am not going to use the hot mix directly on the building, just the pillars that have the dark spots, I am worried about the mix still splashing on them in the process and ruining the decals. Should I just tarp the windows to be safe?
Yes you should.

How would someone go about covering them? Is it as simple as “just cover them with a tarp”?
I was thinking of covering the windows with a tarp, taping around all edges. Then covering that with plastic and tape around all edges. Will this work?
Painters plastic and tape should suffice.
This door was freshly stained so I covered it before doing a house wash.

I just don’t have a good surface to tape to. It is Austin stone all around. I could try the window frame I guess and see if I could make it work.
Get some stucco tape from Lowes/HD
Its a red role and that stuff is awesome.
