SH 12.5% 50/50 and Roof Snot

No it doesn’t. But it makes it easier to do your job

Okay let me put it more pessimistic for you Sir @Innocentbystander. Every shortcut I make, I pay 10 fold for down the line.

I tried A&H just because, smelled nice but pretty runny and didn’t foam/stick much. Snotmenade works much better. Gain is OK, not anything special. I use it when the homeowner just wants a dusty patio cleaned out.

Slo mo is good stuff.

@Grizz @Firefighter4hire - both of you recommend slo mo over roof snot?

Id use any of the 4 listed. They all clean roofs just fine.

They all work slo mo just works better

No roof snot works better :joy::joy:

My favorite would be Snotmenade but its just roof snot with a cover scent. Does a great job of covering the bleach smell but is $79 for 5 gallons instead of $65. Like i said cling on and slo mo are both good. It all personal preference really. There are alot of guys using gain and have been foing it for years.

I’m not going to use gain that’s for sure. The only reason slo mo is better is that you can use so much less better bang for your buck

I read the slo mo label and it called for 4 oz per 50gal mix. This is your successful reality using slo mo?

Not for roofs. For a Normal vynal house wash you would use around that ratio. I used about 1/3 of a ounce. For roofs i used on average 1oz per gallon. Depends on the pitch. I like elemonator for house washing.

I use about 8 -10 per drum works great

8-10oz snot per 55gal?

I’m using a gallon per 55.

Wondered if it even makes a difference.

Bet 10oz slows and sticks just as good as a gallon.

Can’t stop gravity!

Yes per 55 works for me

Good deal. Gonna try to cut back some.
Housewash I’ve cut back to 1-2oz Elemonator per 5gal mix.
See no difference from when I was using an oz a gallon.

Where are you on SH for roof mix?
I’m using 20gal 15%SH to 35gal water.
Should be putting me at 5%.

Would like to try 3% but I don’t want to spray a roof and it not work then be out all that mix and have to do it again. Been staying on the hot side just to be safe.

Just wondering what you guys are using that works!

Good day y’all!

Depends on the roof but, the last one I did, I used about 3%. The SH was fresh so guessing it was probably closer to 4%. I leave a little room in my tank in case I need to up the strength a little. Do a small area and watch results.

You should be able to come down some from the 5% mix you’re using. That’s a pretty hot mix but at least you’ll know it’ll clean.

Oh well as far as mix goes I dont have a dedicated ratio I test for the change in 6-7 min when it does you got it right but I start 25/50 then add till it’s right which for me is closer to 50/50 yes I know that’s hot but I have never gone back and it’s the way I was taught has worked without any damage to any plants or shingles for many years now
