Taking all recommendations for how to layout truck decals including: verbiage, logo placement, contact info, website & services we offer.
This is not my truck though - this is
. I am thinking of logo and phone number on both doors. Then services either in one column along the bed or in a row just below the rail. Then on tailgate logo on one side and services on the other and contact info on the bottom.
Services I’m considering: House Washing or Soft Washing (which one would a potential customer know and understand the value); Pressure Washing or Power Washing (again like above & to me they are one and the same); Fence Cleaning & Gutter Cleaning or Fence and Gutter Cleaning (the latter sequence would read better on a row vs column).
We also do mobile auto details but it’s just not as popular in my area so it’s a no go on the logo. Thanks in advance.
I get asked about vehicle decals/magnets all the time. The info below is based on my opinion as well as feedback I’ve received historically:
For decals/magnets on the doors or sides:
Less is more.
The window of time for a magnet to capture a person’s attention is incredibly short.
Too much info, and they’ll get lost in an avalanche of text and lose interest.
On the doors or sides: Business name. Phone number. If there’s remaining space then maybe 1 or 2 services.
If 1: pick the service that’s most profitable to you.
If 2: add the service that’s most requested from you.
A downfall to listing too many things is quality perception. Niches make riches. You want to give the impression you’re a PRO at whatever you choose to advertise, but listing everything from house washing to auto detailing to gutter cleaning to power washing may lead some people to infer that you’re just a handiman in a pickup - a jack of all trades but a master of none. The tangential sales come from facetime with a client, seeing their needs, and discussing it with them.
If you want to include services, do it on the tailgate. Other drivers have more time to absorb the information when following or stopped at a light.
Good luck.

It’s definitely hard… I went back and forth for a while, here’s a proof of my truck that is getting done this weekend.
Logo is a little bigger then I originally wanted, but the services are big also.
Like @nitty34 said that I didn’t want to much info on there…now he has me thing about to many services though lol

I love those little sprayer trucks. I wanted to get one of those but I was worried access (to repair reels, fittings, hoses, change oil, etc.) would be pain. What’s your experience?
On topic: All of your services are pressure washing related and it looks very professional so I wouldn’t be concerned about coming off as a “jack of all trades”.
Agreed.
Your truck allows you the available space to list yours effectively and professionally. I was talking more along the lines of trying to cram a ton of info on a smaller area.
I like the services list within a contrasting background/bubble. That looks awesome. I am going straight for vinyl applied to the truck itself and not the magnet option. Less is more definitely.
