Service agreement template?

Patio home HOA rep needs a service agreement from me, anyone have a basic template they like to use? I looked at several online ‘lawyer’ sites but they want $40/mo after the free trial.

You’re doing a one time gutter cleaning. Send them a quote. You don’t have a service agreement for the windows do you?

This is through the HOA for the whole community. He specifically asked for a service agreement. Window cleaning is done by individual homeowner request.

He is fine with a ‘verbal agreement’ but the HOA needs it in writing.

An estimate…have them sign it. That’s a service agreement.

What happens if water intrusion happens? I need to put that in the agreement stipulating I’m not responsible for defects.

If you need one and want it simple, Google “one page service agreement” and you should be able to find a format you like, then change it around to suit you.
If you think you are going to face more of these, it’s going to be worth a consult with a lawyer on how much it would be to have a company specific boilerplate contact drafted up. It shouldn’t need that much, couple hundred. Once paperwork starts coming into play if you aren’t savvy with the legal side of contracting it’s worth making sure your paperwork is on your side.

Here’s an example some might find useful in seeing the perspective.
Right now I am consulting in a legal matter in a building I was involved in constructing. The live roof they put on (against strong objections from mey during the process) has finally died off and they are going after the contractors.
In a nutshell, it’s at this part of the who gets sued process. Companies who we have paperwork on are all named in the suit, and subcontractors that were hired that did not submit any of their own proposal documents are not being looked at. When you have paper in the process, it’s something that can either save you or sink you.

Now don’t get me wrong, in my eyes a verbal contract is as binding as written. But the rules change as you get more formal. I am sure someone on here has had some contract fiasco that went against them for some legalese garbage.
