looks great !
So 2.5 months later and Iām inching closer on this box truck build. Other machine and hose reels ordered, probably show up when weāre in Nashville.
Hereās a little video I made for a thread about Vans, Box Trucks or Flatbeds.
Looks good. I like those little doors that open for the Powerwashers. I seen William Pageās truck video as well. He does pretty good even though he loves saying where nothing but water sprayers. Sometimes I get what heās sayingā¦
Guy I noticed the outletās are a little close to the door. Is there enough room there so the hoses donāt bend so much?
But knowing you itās going to be top notch when itās done.
More than likely Iāll 90 from the pump to the hose reel with 1/2" fittings and 1/2" hose to reduce flow restriction. Iām gonna make a trip up to see William for some more of his input.
Doing it right sure costs a lot of moneyā¦but the returns will more than make up for the investment.
two 45ās only take up a little more space without as much restriction in flow
Didnāt think of that Jim, good point.
How much Restriction of Flow do you think you lose with a 90 degree? Iāll have to check that one because I have one Powerwasher set up with a quick connect 90 degree to keep the hose from jumping out in the street while the guys clean. It never occurred to me that you can lose flow or PSI on a 90 degree coming off of the Unloader or anwhere else in the line. The one thing I can attest to is that you most definitely loose PSI on long distance of hose being used.
Truthfully I have no idea John, or that it would matter that much, I might be over thinking it, I tend to do that at times.
Lol⦠Join the club.
In resi plumbing of a house they typically use 3/4" copper down to 1/2" when in the walls and have very little choice but to use 90 degree bends.
The newest tubing they are using is 3/8" flexible space-age plastic stuff. By the foot it is more expensive BUT it is far less time on site (no sweating of the connections, its pretty much one long run) because it is flexible and they only need a fraction of the 90 degree bends. They say that even though they are using a smaller tube (3/8") they are getting more flow/pressure in the showers since there are fewer 90degree bends.
Oh Iām not worried about supply sideā¦I thought we were talking about pressure side. Iām going to have to 90 somewhere from the pump/unloader to the reel.
I have one 90 at the reel, you cant get away from that.
Ok I feel a little better now. We donāt use the hoses on the reel. We just take off what we need on them and then reel them back up when done. That leaves us with one 90 degree on one of the Powerwashers which I never noticed much difference with or without.
Hey Guy did you weld those frames together yourself or did you purchase them like that? Itās looking good.
Had a Buddy of mine fab them up for me.
Where an I find the video you are talking about with William page? Thanks
Stunning.
