Took a hot gun and screwdriver to push around the meld. I hope its all I needed. Ill clean it up better later.

Should hold decently enough. Kayakers do this all the time, take a piece off the cockpit that isn’t needed and ‘weld’ it into the crack. Plastic is similar if not the same.
How did the female fitting on your tank break like that?
Got it like that, cheap too. 200 gal, much better space savings than the 275gal tote, suprisingly.
