Seal n' Lock pricing

Hey guys, i’m putting a quote together on cleaning and sealing a 500sq foot paver patio. i haven’t done work like this, but now’s the time to start.

i’m going with seal n’ lock, already have pricing on the product. sounds like i’ll need the 5 gallon kit for this size job.

my plan is to clean with sh and surface cleaner, re-sand the joints, and then apply the two-step seal n’ lock product.

i’m looking for suggestions on how to price this job. any help would be much appreciated.

Here in Central Florida we can get $1.50 on the high end and we try not to go less than $1.00 per sq ft.

is that plus materials?

No, that is Florida.

Yes, that is with materials. I know of guys that stay in the .65 cents - .85 cents range per sq ft in Tampa. The sealing pavers industry is huge in FL so there is a lot of competition just like with pressure washing. I no longer seal pavers. Customers love the idea of it until they hear my price. Then they think it is a bad idea. I will be at $2000 for a driveway and they will know of someone’s cousin who will do it for $800 and a 12 pack of bud light. Educating customers is a big issue in Florida.

so in a normal economy (not Florida) what would be a strong price/sq. foot for cleaning and sealing with seal n’ lock?

i work in an affluent area, and have no problem selling premium service to picky people. so i’m not afraid of throwing out a big number.

by my math, seal n’ lock is about .20-.25 cents per square foot, just for materials on average. does that sound right?

My leading local supply house says that the Seal n’ Lock treatment goes for $2.00 per square foot so I am guessing that we would price it close to $3.00.
