Sandstone - rust & wine stains removal; suggestions

Hey guys,

Looking for recommendations for spot stain removal on sandstone pavers, doesn’t seem to be much around on the forums for this topic.

Alcohol stains wine and what not as well as a section of rust stains which is mainly surface by the looks of it.

Most of the booze stains are from new years eve 2019 party.

What do you guys recommend? I’m an Australian, so don’t have easy access to the products from USA.

I’m thinking an oxilic but I’m scared to damage to porus surface.

Any tips appreciated

Mix a 5% required amount using hot water and apply to stain. DONT agitate it in any way, let it fully dry and hit it with a bit of pressure. Red wine will leave a very light outline but will disappear naturally over a few weeks out in the elements.

Awesome, thanks for the tip.
Any idea on the rust ?

Oxalic acid for the rust, reapply as needed.

Will that discolour the sandstone at all? How long should I let it sit for? Agitate? Application doesn’t state sandstone on the bottle

I’ve used it many times on sandstone with no discolouration at all, I will add that they weren’t heavy rust stains, so take it for what it is. I don’t know if it’s the industry standard but I let it dwell a bit 2-3 minutes and agitate with a ■■■■■■ little brush, works well for my needs.
