Safety items

Hi Guys

I wonder what you guys carry for your own safety and protection.
If you are spraying for a House Wash, is everyone using a mask and glasses?
I’ve read that vinegar neutralizes SH if you get it onto the skin, any more information about this?
What do you use in case you get something in your eyes? Regular Eye wash stuff?

Thanks!

I always carry my handgun.

I, too, carry a handgun for safety. Sometimes it’s a Glock. Sometimes a 1911. Sometimes a wheel gun. Just depends, really.

Jim, I like you. If you’d get rid of that Ford and buy a Chevy we could be friends.

lol Ok, I might have used the wrong wording  But hey I’m in Texas, this is already part of the equipment. But seriously, what other items do you carry in your toolbox or would recommend?

It’s been covered here pretty recently and I’m sure a search would yield the result.

I carry a respirator, masks, nitrile gloves, elbow high rubber gloves, safety glasses and toilet paper.

Eye drops, gloves, mask, fire extinguisher, safety glasses, road cones, caution tape and a flak jacket.

Don’t try to neutralize SH with vinegar. You’ll create chlorine gas.

Dammit. I forgot road cones. I probably need to get a fire extinguisher for the trailer, too.

Uh, @Grizz? You still toting around that massive traffic cone?

@grizz always carries one of these on the trailer to be extra safe.

Last pic I saw it took up a solid 1/4 of his floor space and you know that’s a heavy sucker at the end of the day!

@Grizz will sacrifice anything in the name of personal safety.

Great list, thank you! Didn’t thought about the fire extinguisher and caution tape.

Interesting, what would you recommend?

I have goggles but very rarely use them. I also carry a safety harness with 100’ line and shock absorber

Yeah I used the search for “safety” and “safety items” but couldn’t find something actual. Or I just read to much already today so I missed it.
Great list, thanks, especially toilet paper sounds useful

PPE should yield some results. The resident safety man will be by soon to make you feel bad so at least you’ve got that going for you.

I have been using ascorbic acid/vitamine C powder to neutralize backspray that occasionally ends up on my face from the wind ect. I mix it with some water and splash it on my face and rub it in (keep it out of your eyes though). I have plain water to rinse with and dry with a towel. Really helps.

I have both…Chevy and Ford. So, looks like we be friends.
