I have used PEX for some parts of my rig and really like it. I saw the question on running PEX straight to the proportioner and then to the supply tanks (water / SH) and even to the 12v pump since it’s all low pressure.
Has anyone tried this?
Pex and chlorine generally don’t play well together. Something about chlorine degrades the “antioxidants” in the pex.
Poly braid works fine but does get UV damaged rather quickly. If you really want to be fancy, use some reinforced hose like you have for your supply line to the machine. It’ll last a long, long time but even that stuff gets UV damage although it doesn’t seem to get brittle like poly braid.
