Running dual pressure washers

Me and my partner started up a little pressure washing company at the start of summer, and were looking to get a second pressure washer and I was wondering how to make this work especially for houses that may only have one spigot? Thanks for any suggestions.

How many GPMs per machine, and how big is your buffer tank? From there, it’s mostly simple math.

We use splitters and it’s always worked fine unless the location had really poor water pressure.

That is never going to work with 8gpm machines…I have yet to find the mythical 16gpm+ spigot

You know he’s probably talking about a couple 2.5gpm machines

I know, but the logic is still the same…no one can help without the information

were using a 2.5 gpm currently and looking to purchase a 4 gallon

you’re going to need to bucket test some spots in your area, but around here I wouldn’t do that on residential without a buffer tank. FWIW, ditch the 2.5 and buy an 8gpm (or at least a 5.5) rather than adding a 4gpm

okay thanks, I appreciate the suggestion

Yeah, but most people don’t have 8gpm machines. Mine are 5.5 and do great and we use splitters all the time.

IDK, I wouldn’t trust most of the residential spigots here to feed a 5.5, certainly not more than 1 of them…

All it takes is one home with low gpm and the pump is toast. Not worth it.

Maybe pick up a 12 volt so one can soap the other could rinse? If you are serious get a 5-1/2 at least ASAP.
