So I was doing a deck and a screen enclosure and what I think happened is, some bleach fell down from the screen enclosure onto the deck. When I surface cleaned the deck, a bit of overspray got on a stainless steel mini fridge… or it happened when I was rinsing. Either way, lesson learned…
Is there any way this can be polished, or should I go ahead and order a new cover? The cover is about $200…
I thought sh couldn’t stain stainless steel? I’m curious how to fix this as well. My Midwest hydromixer cover also has similar staining I would like to take off.
That ia calcium built up, plus moisture over time.
Homeowners responsibility.
More iver if it is outside exposed to the wrather and temperature changes…
Think of it this way…
A house with oxidation, built up. Once u wash it and it is clean and dried you see blotches.
Yoir faut? No.
But if you knew that there was ixidatiin yoi would of told the xlient what to expect and he would be ok right.
Niw if yiu did not notice nkr told the client what to expect… then worry.
This is what happened to that fridge.
I was thinking the same. I carry Oil based and Water based SS cleaner with me. But once that Oil burns out per say, Im afraid those streaks will re appear. All the oil is doing in hydrating the SS.
They are threatening to take me to small claims court, which I wouldn’t be surprised as they seem to be excited about trying to rip me off. Now they are saying something else is messed up and the door looks even worse… after I polished the door and it looks brand new. Here is a pic after I polished it.
I wd40 all door locks after a wash just to be safe. They do tend to get catchy after a wash if not taped off. Also what did you use to restore the door?
Stainless steel polisher made by chemical guys. It came out beautifully, however I still received my first bad review from these customers, even after offering to pay for the door.
