Roof washing marks

If it’s brown, it coming down. If it stays black, you’re going back.

Your post is worthless without describing how you did it.

It’s not an immediate thing. Always let your clients know that if it’s mossy growth, it could be 3-6 months before it comes down. They’ll find that same information on just about any internet search.

If they don’t like that, they can pay more for you to come back and rinse.

But also, that roof’s not clean yet. All that black needs to come down. Make sure you’re getting over 3% and using a roof surfactant

Thank you very much I should’ve described it more I applied a 5% mix with roof surfactant and did tell him it would take time was done about two weeks ago.

What did you apply it with? How old was the SH? You said 5%, you mixing 1:1 from bottles? If so, what’s the 5-digit date code on them?

You never leave a job with it looking like that. That’s black now. Sometimes you have to hit it 2-3 times for it to come down. I never get off the ladder until I’m sure.

I use bulk SH was about a week old batch mixed.

Yes that was my first roof deff learned that the hard way I know from now on.

Good luck with it. Stand back and look at everything before you leave. By brown, that means you can barely see a hint of brown if it’s just algae or mildew. Sometimes I’ll try to show to a customer and most can’t even see it. Nothing like what you’ve got there.

Also, what is that real light color run you have on the right edge of the roof? Looks like someone spilled a gallon of milk up there and it dried. Unless it’s dead moss.
