Roof pump hose options and opinions

If distance is what you want a 7@100 psi fat boy will out distance any aodd or 12 volt pump. Only thing with more distance would be gas powered sprayer pumps. But they suck for anything with a surfactant in the mix . And don’t last long with SH

Really curious more than anything. I have a 7 gpm 60 psi pump for roofs and a 2 gpm pump for uses replacing a pump up sprayer. I do not do a lot of roofs currently, so I have my 2 gpm set-up with a 3/8 hose and it works really well with only .5 gal of chem in the line (125 ft) which is easy to reclaim into a jug when done.
It works really well for a lot of what I do with restaurants, throwing down higher concentration chems on dumpster pads, back door/front door areas and such. Easier than an x-jet/bucket imo. Takes about 1 min to clean out the line, lose almost no chem and leaves the x-jet on the truck.
I do run into instances where I wish I could get another 5-10 ft distance (usually vertically) and was wondering which factor would have the most impact? Currently I rigged up a 10ft EMT pole with a hose running through the middle of it, nozzle on the end and a QC at the base. Weighs little to nothing and gets me that 10 more feet when I need it. When applying chem to say a half wall on the side of a building, I can stand in one spot back away from the building using the pole and hit 20 linear ft - very efficient (Think of standing center back 8-10 ft from wall with pole extended to right - start spraying and move pole up and down to center then to left. After that walk 20 ft, do it again if needed). 3/8" lines with 1/4" QC on everything makes is really easy. Set-up is porportioner to 3 way valve that feeds either the 7 gpm or 2 gpm. On the outlet of both pumps to another 3 way valve to select which outlet to feed hose reel and line. This lets me keep both pumps hooked up to single porportioner and hose line (albeit small for the 7 gpm) to keep things easy and simple.
Thoughts?

I hated my kuritec. It’s a nice hose but it will mess up some pvc railing in a heartbeat and also rub paint right off of surfaces. I use my pump for wood cleaning also so I’m not just dragging it on a roof.

Plus it puts resistance in the customers mind when it comes time to be cleaned again if the last time it was done caused damage

Red or yellow? Thank you.

Yellow.

Right now im using AG hose, and dont like it too much. Its heavy, bulky and loves to coil up by itself on the ground. The only positive to it is that because its so thick, i dont worry about it puncturing too much.

I agree Flex tech is the best out there and 5/8 is King. I can’t tell munch difference in weight between the Flex tech 5/8 and the kuritec 1/2. But u can tell a difference in height.
