Hi guys. I’ve got a customer that has a 7200 sqft building with a green metal roof and they are wanting the oxidation removed. My plan is to use some type of soap (haven’t decided what yet) and scrub the entire roof. It doesn’t have any type of organic growth on it so no SH will be needed. Will my method work or am I going to be getting myself in a mess? I really want to please this customer as he is the owner of a big construction company and it may lead to future business.
You ever do any track and field events in school?
Are you a part time comedian?
lol, no but I do get told I look just like Steve Martin.
Honest to God truth, when I was younger folks called me wild, now folks say I’m crazy, go figure.
Ha! Good one Gary the Comedian!
As for the roof you might get lucky and it’ll come out fine or the paint might be oxidized almost all the through and you’ll end up stripping it down to bare metal. There’s much easier and less risky money to be made. I’d definitely run from this one. If you end up going through with it make sure you have the customer sign something in writing saying you aren’t liable for any paint damage. If I was going to do it I’d use more than soap. I’d use something like Gutter Grenade and start with a very diluted mixture. There’s other stuff out there I’ve seen mentioned on here but I’ve never used it. @Grizz and @Racer would probably be dancing around and dumping the Awesome all over it …lol…I’m just kidding don’t use that stuff. I’d pass on this job though.
omg, I said exactly the same thing in one sentence, and I get ridiculed
What the heck. Hahahahaaha
Crazy ole koot.
But @garry.cooper is trying to learn ya something. sit back a get a sponge… The Coop school bell has just rung.
@dtejada would benefit from those pics…
And I don’t get it.
The older crusty seasoned PW go up on the roofs and do it all from Heel to squeal. But the young whipper snaps keep feet firmly on the ground.
Looks good @garry.cooper i just watched your video
That’s the bmw of roof cleaners.
You’re just jealous because I bid and won this barrel tire job for $89!
Yup nice and dirty…I’ll practice climbing on and off my one story house eventually one day
Post a picture of the job and you can get some legit feedback
