Hey. New to this site as this is my first post. I have a power washing and painting business for over 15 years and now I am starting to do a lot of no pressure roof cleaning. Just wondering if anyone has used a chemical transfer pump with a gas engine for spraying the chemicals on roofs. I see all these expensive setups and seems like this would be a much easier and less expensive way to go?? Let me know? Thanks
That would work to start out. But I wouldn’t use it for a long time, the SH would tear up everything inside the pump. SH is not forgiving it will rust everything. The pump we use is a AODD with Kynar seals (Yamada Pump) you can leave your mix in it all week if wanted to and never worry.

Okay thanks for the info. I figured if I rinsed out the pump at the end of the day it would last a season or 2. It has the thermoplastic impeller. My concern is when I’m not spraying the pump is not an on demand and afraid the pump would overheat if I did not continuously keep spraying.
That is possible. That’s what good with the AODD pumps the air compressor runs and the pump engages when you open you handle. Your pump could work but I would not count on it for a full season. The SH eats metal up like no tomorrow
