I know that I’m a bit late to the party, but thanks for this thread…

a cheap tool box to switch out broken pieces…

I like the term KISS… our setup is very simple ( mind you we dont do many roofs, we are growing but now 1 / day is max)
50 gallon drum for mix,
110v chemical diaphragm 5gpm pump,
4ft of rubber hose dropped into the drum for suction.
75ft of 3/4 garden hose
150 ft of 5/8" garden hose
spray wand
drill ( to loosen down spouts)
5 gallon buckets to collect downspouts
also have ~200 feet of blue 3" hose to divert runnof
330 gallon tote ( that we also use for the PW) connected to a cheap 2" chemical / clear water pump
connected to 2 - 200 foot garden hoses for watering plants. - been to too many houses were their water supply sucked… this way the guys will always have plenty of water.

Well…you cant build it for as cheap as you can buy one pre-made. I’m as diy as it gets and looked at a lot of options before buying a ready made solution that included the on off switch already mounted to a battery box, inline fuse, battery connections, hose barb connections to the pump, 200’ hose, gun, nozzles, chem strainer on the inlet side…that just about covers it I think. Oh and a deep cycle marine grade battery with 600+ cca from Wal-Mart. I use Roof Snot surfactant. Chem tank premixed with hopefully just enough…I don’t like to have any left over so i try to cut it close. Once you mix that much snot into the mix its not really awesome for house wash. A few 15 gallon tanks that are 1/3 full of sh just in case I need to mix some extra last minute (again, I cut it close so I don’t have left overs). Water hose. I have the poly braid hose that I have fitted with 1/2 in cam locks so after I clean out the line I just disconnect it and roll it up on a plastic water hose reel. Maybe I’ll get more fancy when I start doing more roofs. I like the 5850 because you don’t have to have an accumulator to use smaller spray tips just in case you want to use the pump to spray other chems.

A good sub!!!

I recently picked up the Polly 5/8 Pump Kit from Pressure Tek too include the Battery Upgrade … Came with mostly every thing need (minus battery and drum)
