Hi. I received our 8 gpm machine ( honda gx 690 engine) a few weeks ago but the muffler exhausts the opposite side from what i need with my setup. I ordered a muffler that faces the opposite side on amazon.
My question: do i simply take the nuts off, take muffler off, install new muffler or is there some kind of seal or gasket that i need to redo?
I don’t want to take it off if i can’t have it ready to roll tomorrow morning.

There’s metallic gaskets where it connects. If the new muffler doesn’t come with them, just be gentle when you take the old one off. It’s so new the current gaskets probably won’t fall apart.
Ideally you’d use new gaskets as they’re meant to compress under the torque

No worries. If it comes without them, it won’t be the end of the world to use the old ones. Just replace them next time you have 20 minutes for maintenance
Add some anti seize on the bolts when putting it back together, it helps if in the future you need to remove the muffler. Old Exhaust Bolts Suck!
