Remote accesories

Hey guys, I’ve heard that some of you already use remote operated valves for chemical injection. My question is… How useful a remote fuel solenoid valve would be? Or a remote machine starter for electrical or gas powered pressure washers, im also in adding a 1.8 secs delay for solenoid valve to avoid smoke coming out with an auto-start/stop kit installed… Im fully open to suggestions.

Hi! welcome to the forums.

Here is a link to a lengthy thread on the topic I believe.

I’m not a power washer, and do not feel adequately knowledgeable to answer your question.

With sage advice of other guys on here, I built my own remote box and added a flashing light on the trailer for good measure. I probably spent less than $100 total and it works surprisingly well, although the SH tends to wreak havoc on valves and metal parts.

It’s a real time saver to just press a button around your neck to turn on/off soap.

Edit: I see you’re talking about fuel, sorry can’t help with that. I do have to ask why you want to start/stop your machine several times, most of us run a return water line back to the buffer tank.

Yeah, I’ve been seeing in other posts how you guys built your own remote soap injectors, I also got info of a guy who built a remote coil starter for gas engines. I also was thinking that could be easier to switch to cold water remotely if needed by using a remote operated fuel solenoid or remotely turn off the burner completely. Im not running a cleaning solutions businesss so I dont now how convenient that kind of systems could be on field, I’m actually researching to develop accesories and features for high pressure washers, surface cleaners, etc…

It’s on my list to add a remote to turn the burner on and off also, as well as start and stop the engine. I love remote control anything. I use the schertz box to remote control the soap and love it. I haven’t actually posted about it here so this would be a good opportunity for the experienced ones tell me why it’s a bad idea to have a remote control engine on/off and burner on/off system? Most of my ideas are terrible so don’t listen to me lol

@Seandz besides the damage that vibration on gas engines could make to electronics, I see a few pro’s on remote controllers, specially on hot water electric pressure washers. And control box could be placed away from engine vibration anyway. But of course the experienced ones could tell us why could that be a bad idea in any case. I’ll still listening good or bad ideas either…

I like the idea on a burner, I like to wash the truck in hot water and the trailer in cold to conserve fuel and hot water isn’t necessary on a trailer usually because there usually isn’t grease. but for the motor I would think it’s not needed in my field, I don’t know about yall but my gx390 needs choked every time to start and I’ve seen that alot on other single engines, now my v twin vanguards do not need choke to start. So you have to go to the trailer anyways to start mine.

It seems that a simple 12v wire remote control for the basic on off switch for the burner could be done easily. My PW has a Kubota Diesel engine and uses the glow plugs. Initially starting it cold barely works with the key lol. But after it’s warmed up and doesn’t need the glow plugs to start I think a remote on/off could be useful.

So I guess it will work better for electric motors, however, I wonder if there is an electric choke for carburators in the market, that may work for gas engines. I’ll go for the burners first and continue exploring more features.

I’m not sure If the burner switch is a simple 1 wire 12v interrupter but if it is this may work. Amazon.com
