Re-united boat story

So today, after a year of trying to track down the owner I found it… about 10 years ago I purchased a bass boat from my grandpa. I LOVED this boat and spent tons of time on it. I had to have surgery on my hand 7 years ago and had to sell it to keep from getting behind on the mortgage.

We had gone fishing so many times on this boat and shared so many memories. We even took it to Canada for a week. I didn’t realize how much the boat meant to me until October 1st of 2016 when my grandpa passed away. Ever since that day I have kicked myself for selling it even though he told me too.

I called the present owner and told him what the boat meant to me and that if/when he was ready to sell it to please call me. He said the seats are getting pretty rough and that he wouldn’t miss it if it was gone and offered it up for $2,500

I let him know I would start putting away some money for it and that with a new baby here my wife would shoot me dead if I came home with a boat lol he understood and said it’s here waiting on you when your ready! I feel like hopefully this fall I will be reunited with a piece of my childhood.

Today was a good day!
