Anyone running one of these?
I’ve only just seen it advertised…I think the price tag is ouch though
kinda like the mo-flow…
I also like having a pressure washer and a soft wash (AR30) on the truck. If the pressure washer goes down then the AR30 can take over SOME of the tasks until the pressure washer is repaired (obviously can’t do flatwork but can house wash, etc).
my questions would be:
-
what hoses do you run on the machine that can handle the pressure but won’t degrade when you switch it to the soft-wash and run 6% through it?
-
does it use a clutch or are there 2 bypasses on it? One that goes off the high pressure system back to buffer and 1 that goes off soft wash system back to manifold inlet?
Thanks for sharing it! I would be interested to hear what other people have to say. More and more these pumps that are capable of upstreaming SH are popping up.
That’s so funny. I agree but reversed.
walk me through what you mean? I don’t think of anything my AR30 can do that my pressure washer could take over for but I only use the AR30 for throwing hot mix (roof, pre/post, stucco, anything that needs more than 1% that I can get downstreaming). But a ton of things I use my pressure washer for (downstreaming) I could dial the SH meter down on the AR30 and get it to work in a pinch (you just lose being able to toggle back and forth quickly from mix to rinse).
The X-Jet is inexpensive and compact enough to keep on the truck. With it, your pressure washer can handle ALL not just SOME. A soft wash system still can’t effectively clean concrete. If given the option, I would much rather have a pressure washer available.
Is it the most efficient option? No. But it’ll absolutely get the job done if you are in a pinch.
Yeah, agreed a pressure washer is the king.
I think I just like the proportioner, lol. Being able to dial in the mix on the spot is nice without having to carry anything extra around.
