Making a hanging shelf for a tiny wood stove
Heat shield for wall ?
Stove will sit on shelf. Piece of tin with air gap between wall will be the heat shield
The bottom plate won’t be attached to the wall also?
Bottom plate has a 2 inch lip that will bolt to the wall also
Thermal break between bracket arm & studs & don’t ask me how I know
Wonder if muffler tape would work. That thought never crossed my mind. You just saved my big time. I’m usually the guy that thinks he had every angle worked out and considered before I make something
I think muffler tape should work or at least help quite a lot, but I was just brainstorming a little and I thought: you maybe happen to have some ceramic plungers sitting somewhere around , so if you cut those in half, make them shorter and stick them in both sides of the bolts, one between bolt head and the bracket (like a fat washer) and the other one between the bracket and the wall, because I think bolts with transfer a lot of heat as well if their heads touch the bracket. If they will hold it though and don’t crack, don’t know how heavy it’s getting, but if they happen to be from a Udor pump they should
That is an awesome idea. Maybe over size the holes and run the bolts directly thru the plungers. Gotta get it fixed before @squidskc gets here. He was navy so probably needs luxuries like heat and water. Wussy
Yep, quick
Says the guy whose “tent” has a recliner and HVAC.
I’m the first to admit I’m old, fat and like comforts.
Brain storm. I’m going to cut off the flat steel and use 1/4 inch chain. That should dissipate heat quicker and will look cool
What are you heating with that little thing? Barbie Dream-house?
May wanna move that handgun too. May be a hot bang bang!
I’ll move it. Had to take down half the wall boards to put 2x8’s back there to bolt the frame to. Maintain flexibility
Looks good… ill be axnious to here how well that little joker heats up the place.
And love the shirt.
He literally has a snarky shirt for each day of the month
