Kmp could you post a few more pics from different angles. I also have a 5x8 and just curious how you have everything laid out. Looks great!!
^^^I second that^^^ Youāre doing some impressive stuff!
Youāre not at all how I pictured youā¦I pictured a salty old fireman with a natural grimace and cigar butt clenched it the corner of his mouth. LOL
I think you have me confused with Popeye
Yeahā¦Popeye with a fire helmet, I guess. Funny how our minds work, eh?
I never knew fellers in SC wore overalls!? I thought that was just here where corn grows wild.
NC. You wound my spirit with that SC talk
Nice!
Howās does one axel handle all that weight?
Looks fantastic
Iām itching for a new rig but canāt decide what i would like better.
Right now i think Iād prefer an enclosed trailer. But a van sounds enticing.
3500 lb axel is fine as long as you donāt travel with a full buffer tank.
I never travel with water in the buffer, so the weight is minimal.
I also have that rig installed on a small 5x8 which gives more play room when it comes to weight.
This thread has been very helpful for me!
How did you mount the reels on the side like that and keep them sturdy? Your set up is legit
@Innocentbystander I see on your trucks you have pressure bibs on the side. Are your reels plumbed in or just hold the hoses?
Iām not sure what you mean by pressure bib. The reels on the sides hold garden hose. They are not plumbed to the tank. To much water restriction. Garden hose is disconnected and hooked to jumper lines plumbed to the tank
The brass fitting looked like a female QC.
Thanks for clarifying. So the supple isnāt plumbed in via the reels but your pressure reels are.
Yet itās retarded of me to think it was pressure with pvcā¦ damnit!
Lol no worries. Pressure lines stay plumbed. That brass piece you see is a doybke female garden hose adapter
