Random shop pics because it's raining cats and dogs

I have had similar setups in the past. The key to a long lasting bed is maintenance.

Making sure you and your employees flush it out with water daily.

SH is what eats the shit out of it.

I keep my equipment clean and free of standing SH.

A flush a day, keeps the SH away…

Nice setup! What size buffer tank did you fit in there?

You guys have me thinking now! Does anyone think it’s possible to put an 8 gpm (with buffer tank, reels, etc,) a 35 gallon Chem tank, a roof pump (Bandit) and 65 gallon roof chem tank, all on an 8’ pickup bed and still have room for buckets, pump sprayers, a 55 gallon drum of SH (occasionally) etc?

I ask because I can’t figure out a way to do it, but you guys have some pretty awesome “outside of the box” setups going there, and I’m impressed with your ingenuity!

I’ve been planning on getting a 12’ flatbed for my next truck, but a pickup would really open up my options since they’re so much easier to find, of course.

You’re asking a lot out if an 8’ space, Atlas.lol. I could never see that working. My trailer is 10’ and i have no space left and I don’t have a 55 gl drum.

Extended cab? You could fit some of that stuff (buckets, pump sprayers, spare parts) in the back seat, lol…

I agree…I just thought I might tap into all these awesome imaginations!

I am thinking that I may be able to pull something like that off if I go with a 100 gallon PCO tank for my buffer and let my 65 gallon roof tank double as my PW Chem tank. (That’s not usually recommended, but I never mix more roof mix than a particular job requires, so I don’t think it would be an issue for me)

I may try playing around with my current truck this year to see what I can do.

@Infinity I agree, an extended cab would not even be considered optional. My toolbox takes up a lot of space, so that stuff would all have to move “indoors”, so a crew cab would be best, but extended cab would work.

I’d really love to make it all work on a Tundra…I LOVE Totota’s quality.

What I really need is to just stop checking these forums and getting all these ideas! LOL

Now I’m thinking I could make a heavy duty bracket of some kind to stack the roof tank over the buffer tank.

Some of the guys over at RCIA have been using stacking tanks that look pretty promising too.

Mount the reels on the rail and you will have tons of room

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I figure I could mount the power washer and it’s reels on one side, and the roof pump on the other.

Did you do your own welding, or hire it out?

A pivoting hose reel on each rail by the tailgate would be a sweet setup.

Uploading…

I can weld anything except a broken heart and I can put a pretty decent patch on that lol

LOL…Love it!

@KMP Would you mind posting a picture of your setup with the tailgate open? I’m really liking your ideas, and I’d like to get a better view of how you’ve run everything.

6ft bed
75 gallon buffer tank
30 gallon chem tank
250 ft of pressure hose
150 ft of supply hose

Still room to spare for surface cleaner ect…

You can double what I have with an 8ft bed no prob. That’s going to be my next build.

Awesome…Thank you! Where did you get those tanks? I like how the rectangle shape opens up space.

(I’m assuming you got those at Tank Depot, now that I look at the picture more closely, LOL)

Man, that is a clean setup. Very nice.

This is one of my 5x8 trailers just to give you a prospective of what you can fit.

8gpm hot water machine
8gpm cold water machine (mounted in the front)
5.5gpm electric pump
2 pressure reels at 250 each
1 supply reel at 150
1 electric pump reel at 150 ft
150 gallon buffer tank
35 gallon chem tank
10 ft a frame ladder
Whisper Wash Classic surface cleaner.

This little trailer is a beast and has got me through alot.
