I just got my Ultra Clean and it came with a brass female QC. My ball valve has a steel QC and it’s darn near impossible to separate them, and yes I am relieving the line pressure first.
Is it just dissimilar metals or something else going on?

Does your old male fitting have chatter marks on it ?
The male SS end does, where the little ball bearings grip it.
If it does, take a pair of channel locks and round off the chatter marks if you’re in a pinch.
Even better replace it!
If you have an ultra clean throw that ball valve away and just plug your gun into it
It already has a gun built in…
I have always wondered when you speak of this topic… how strong/reinforced is the QC/gun? Doubting it fits in the bracket or what not is there
It’s just a 1/4 male nipple sticking out of the arm or the surface cleaner that the gun plugs into. I got a new phone and don’t know my password to open up my YouTube account but there is a video of it here somewhere
You’d have the left handle and the gun at two different angles.
So? It’s not uncomfortable and usually run surface cleaner with one hand anyway
That’s just weird.
I was worried about that too. Its not really an issue though. Being able to plug right into the SC without a ball valve is great!
Trying to cut out the ball valve. What do you think about me cutting this section off the whisper wash and securing this whipline with a 1/4 Qc nipple on it
This will let me plug my gun in everything including lances, and cut out the ball valve. I’ll also change the male nipple on the gun to a female so I can get the male end leading first on all the hoses
This is why I got the Ultra Clean instead of the Classic.
Trying to make use of what I got. I love the ball valve just trying to see how I can be more efficient and carry less weight when I wash houses
Or what I could do is cut out a notch where that circle cut out is and I can put my quick connect/hose up in there from a diagonal side angle so that I don’t have to cut off the entire arm. It would also help with supporting the weight of the surface cleaner so not all the weight is on the tip 1/4 quick connect… yeah I may try that first
I’m not positive on this, but the Ultra Clean handles might fit on that Classic. The other guys can elaborate. That way you can just swap out the existing gun for they one you have.
That would be neat
