Quick connect sizes

I’m not sure if this is common, but my unit can with 3/8 for my male ends and quick connect ends. I had to upgrade to 1/2 on my wand because the weight and force of my turbo nozzle was wearing them out. That shoulda reduced my pressure but I can’t tell any difference, which I don’t mind. Is 1/2 what most use on your connections?

That’s not how that works. Don’t use 1/2 inch quick connects.

Why not

Do you use a turbo nozzle? It’s roughly 6 inches long and 3 pounds. The pressure behind it is unreal. Maybe I’m over reacting, but are there anyways to prevent wearing so quickly?

Cheap O-rings. It’s not your turbo nozzle. Viton O-rings. You’ll have to change them twice a year.

I don’t want to speak for Will but I imagine he goes through more turbo nozzles in a year than we would in 10.

I’ve used them for 20 years. They all plug into my 1/4 quick connects.

Do they affect performance at all? Obviously not much or you wouldn’t have them on there. Just wondering if you can tell a difference at all

Thanks. lol

makes them last longer. Keeps trash out of the ceramics.

Appreciate all the info. So I’m guessing even though mine is a commercial hot water unit. All quick connects that come with the machine are cheap and useless?

I use the absolute cheapest quick connects I can find. $2-3 on zoro. BUT thanks to @Innocentbystander telling me about viton o-rings, I ordered 2 bags from pressuretek and change out all the cheap o-rings immediatedly to vitons. Before I was having similar problems. O-rings going bad.

Especially on the rented hot water units. Rarely have to change o-rings since I started swapping them with good ones.

I thought you only used Suttner turbo nozzles
