The oil seal works its way out in a few hours releasing the oil out of the pump. Three new seals have been put in. Same problem.
That is a disposable pump. Don’t spend money fixing it. You can get a new one for about $300
Replying to this on the off chance you see it 3 yrs later…did you happen to find a solution to this or did you end up scrapping it? Same problem just occurred on mine.
Thanks!

Post a picture of the seal. I’m sure we can figure out a way to fix it.
This was actually the first time it happened for me, since I bought it used. The lower portion of the shaft seal popped out, allowing a heavy oil leak. I needed it for a small job so I pressed it back in and it held up for the 30 min I needed it. I didn’t allow it to idle for more than a few seconds at a time, but I did notice that the crank body was too hot to touch afterward. Normal?
The crank housing definitely gets hot when running. Too hot to touch is normal. All engines get too hot to touch regardless if they’re air or liquid cooled.
Post of picture of the engine and seal and we’ll figure out a fix for you.
