I have a 18hp Briggs with gearbox and Allison 6.8gpm pump. When I bucket test it I’m only getting about 6gallons a minute out of it. I’m double feeding the pump and getting plenty of water to it. Any ideas what I can do?
Double feeding isn’t necessary at all, it creates it’s own problems. What tip are you using for your bucket test?
No tip just shooting right out of the gun
Briggs have a tachometer?
No tachometer
Until we know the specs on the pump it sounds about right. If it’s a 6.8 at 3k that’s about all you’ll get
