I have purchased a Honda GX690 Motor and Udor 30/24s pump. I am trying to build a belt driven system. I have searched far and wide to try and find the proper bushings and pulleys to connect the two machines.
I believe I have found the proper bushings and pulleys through envirospec. Can someone please confirm with me that these are the right parts? I have attached a photo of the parts below.
If those pulley sizes are the measurements, then it is close. It may spin a little slower with an 8.4 inch pulley. The engine bushing is probably right, the pump bushing is definitely right.
@dcbrock definitely seems like the easier option at this point.
@Innocentbystander I will try not to. I have been having an extremely hard time trying to find the proper parts for the build. For example, I have not been able to find a single belt cover anywhere online so far. I am going to continue to call businesses within the industry to try and get some more info. A lot of the people I called were surprised to hear I wanted to go belt driven.
There aren’t any vendors really too close to me. I was going to buy a gear reduction version out of the states, through a vendor in Canada but they have not got back to me so I’m building it myself. I also want to build it myself so I know how to fix things when they go wrong. I am planning to call mvp tomorrow morning. Called today but there was no one there at the time to help me.
I am in the muskokas which is a few hours north of Toronto. The majority of us would can that Northern Ontario. It’s not the real northern ontario though because it goes on forever. Majority of our population is within a few hours of us border though.
I bought it at princess auto. That’s the hefty price tag i paid for it unfortunately. I figure it will be worth it in the long run because of durability. I also am getting a higher end pump for longevity’s sake.
