Pulley / Belt Help for 8gpm build

Hello,

I have purchased a Honda GX690 Motor and Udor 30/24s pump. I am trying to build a belt driven system. I have searched far and wide to try and find the proper bushings and pulleys to connect the two machines.

I believe I have found the proper bushings and pulleys through envirospec. Can someone please confirm with me that these are the right parts? I have attached a photo of the parts below.

I would like to run 8gpm at 3500 psi.

I would greatly appreciate your help.
Pulleys and bushings

If those pulley sizes are the measurements, then it is close. It may spin a little slower with an 8.4 inch pulley. The engine bushing is probably right, the pump bushing is definitely right.

You can’t get 8/3500 with a gx690, but that will get you as close as you can get

Thanks for the info.

Finding all of the parts I need for a belt drive is proving to be quite a headache. Might just go to hear reduction for the sake of my sanity.

Don’t do that.

Probably easier to go gear drive like I did.

@dcbrock definitely seems like the easier option at this point.

@Innocentbystander I will try not to. I have been having an extremely hard time trying to find the proper parts for the build. For example, I have not been able to find a single belt cover anywhere online so far. I am going to continue to call businesses within the industry to try and get some more info. A lot of the people I called were surprised to hear I wanted to go belt driven.

Everything you want can be bought with a phone call to MVP Services in Raleigh NC. Why are you building one. Are there no vendors near you?

I am in northern Ontario, Canada.

There aren’t any vendors really too close to me. I was going to buy a gear reduction version out of the states, through a vendor in Canada but they have not got back to me so I’m building it myself. I also want to build it myself so I know how to fix things when they go wrong. I am planning to call mvp tomorrow morning. Called today but there was no one there at the time to help me.

They may not ship to Canada. They close 4:30 EST

Appreciate the help.

Thank you

Just out of mild curiosity, I couldn’t really find any towns in northern ON. Where are you located?

3600 rpm drive end gives you 1457 at the driven end with those sheaves

Thank you

Out of curiosity, where are you buying the engine? I’ve been eyeing an upgrade to 8GPM, but the cheapest I’ve found a 690 locally has been $3k.

I can get a BE 8/“3500” for $4900, so it’d be just as much to build one myself. I’m in NB.

I bought it at princess auto. That’s the hefty price tag i paid for it unfortunately. I figure it will be worth it in the long run because of durability. I also am getting a higher end pump for longevity’s sake.

Everything is very expensive in Canada lol.

Unfortunately, lol. As far as a belt guard, if you have a welder you might be able to just make something up yourself with some expanded metal grate.

I was watching videos last night on how to build my own aluminum box lol

Ah ok. Here I thought you were near the Polar Bear Provincial Park or something.
