Protecting stained deck from sh solution damage

Hello.
I want to soft wash white vinyl siding, soffits etc that are full of algea/mold. My question:

Areas above a large stained wood deck, can plenty of rinsing be enough to be certain to prevent damaging/ affecting the stained wood? Otherwise, i thought of using tarps but it is such a large deck that it would be difficult managing tarps without sh solution finding its way under.

I appreciate any recommendations.

Soak the deck with water and when I say soak I mean until water stands on it. Reduce the strength of your house wash it’s better to do it three times than mess up the deck rinse like it’s the last time you get to do it

Thanks.

Do what @Firefighter4hire said and rinse the deck of soap immediately after soaping.

I have only had a couple of houses with this issue. Probably overkill, but I rinsed the deck for like 5 minutes and then use a pump up to spray the areas of the house around the deck. My logic was in DS you will have mix kinda go all over the place, but with a pump up for just that area, I have complete control of where the mix went. Before rinsing the house after dwell, rinse the deck real good, rinse the house while also rinsing the deck to wash off any mix. No issues, took a few more minutes. I would rather exercise caution and spend 10 more minutes then have a screw up and be re-staining a deck.
Note - I do not use a pump up for the entire house. I DS as the norm, and use the pump up only in the area around the deck…

I like this controlled spraying idea for the decks.
This new neighborhood I am trying to break into seems to have gone with a contractor that built them all decks and covers at the front entrances that are stained. The couple houses I have done there haven’t had these features, but the stain on the decorative beams and air vents runs just with normal water applied it seems. They are a mix of vinyl and painted board which I am not a fan of.
I really just need to work on washing painted and stained stuff more, always stresses me out when I run into it, and I need to add these houses in to keep the work going.
