Using a 12v on the injector is usually called “force feeding” the injector.
@SurfaceMedic, the idea is to use a small 12v demand diaphragm pump to force more solution into the injector. Seems like it would tear up a pump pretty quick running straight solution through it, but I know that a number of guys do it.
I think it’s pretty straightforward. 12v pump goes between your mix tank and injector inlet. You’ll need hose clamps on your barb fittings because they’ll be under pressure. The demand pump should shut off automatically when you are off the trigger. I’m guessing you’ll have to go back to your rig to shut it off for rinsing.
@Sasquatch, a booster pump is a different type of pump used for direct application. Used in a similar way to a fatboy or air diaphragm pump. I honestly know very little about them.
Put a low volume high pressure 12 pump in the 1/4 hose that feeds you DS injector . It pretty simple. It will only work when you run low pressure just like the injector does. Just remember to turn it off before turning off your machine or it will fill your hose with straight SH. I wired one up to a flowswitch. Just like the ones used for burners. I use this a lot when doing large amounts of flat dirty work. It’s much quicker than pretreatment with a separate system first.
The pump don’t last long. But I’m not expecting them to. The amount of time this saves is way more than the cost of the pumps. I use get the 2.2@70 psi pump from NT . $69 .
It take my DS from 20to1 to 7to1
12 to 1 would equal 1 percent total sh in mix .
So this will deliver just under 2 percent. Plenty strong for most things except roofs and brick
I am completely mind blown about this! This is the solution ive been looking for on my trailer. Do you have a picture of this on an All-Flo pump? Also are you in Tampa? If so I am just south of you. Would be cool to meet up sometime! Ive been dying to make some pw friends down here. All my competition that ive reached out to dont want to be friends, every one sees each other as enemy down here lol
You can usually tell how successful a company is by how they treat their competitors. People that do well don’t look at others as their competition. They realize their only competition is themselves.
I totally agree. Most the guys I’m trying to reach out to aren’t even that big, maybe they are scared?? Oh nice man! I’m in Bradenton and Sarasota, those are my main two areas. Do some work in St. Pete and Apollo Beach every now and then.
And I was just wondering if you had a picture of the plumbing of that All-Flo pump with both water and SH coming in the bottom. You talked about how you did that so you only had to have two tanks (one for water and one for SH). I just have never ever seen that done before and never heard about it from PWP!
