The more confusing you can make it, the better it is for vendors

I have a stupid question. How do you set it up to pull 50/50? Also, what about the surfactant mixing in?

I’ll be using a 12v with a mix tank.

An AODD pump can be set up to pull separately on both sides of it . Remember it’s a dual diafram pump . One side pulls from the SH tank and one side pulls from the water supply tank. On discharge there mixed together.
I ad surfactant to my SH tank . It’s chlorine stable so there no harm in mixing it.

I’ve done it before with one of these also. There pretty low on the psi side but it worked fine . I keep it on the truck Incase my compressor blower up I can be back to work in 5 minutes

Gotcha. Thanks. I’ve spent the last 4 hours going over my budget. I’m not just setting up a roof system but basically resetting my whole trailer. I only have a certain amount to work with so I may have to lower my sights on the roof system and go with the Gen III 12 volt to start with. Get my feet wet see how profitable roof cleaning will be here and then upgrade in a year or so. I’ll just have the mindset that 12 volt pumps are expendable. But if I go that route I think I can make everything fit money wise. I’m through budgeting for the night I’ll finish tomorrow. I’m going to watch movies with the wife the rest of the night.

I’ve made several posts on this. Rough guideline is about a gal per 50 sq. ft. But depending on pitch, whether you’re walking or shooting from gutter line, how dirty, etc. will affect your usage.

Ive been thinking about this too. After seeing the one at that store you brought me to.

Keep an eye out for rebuilt air pumps. I picked up a used ARO 1/2” poly with all new seals and diaphragms for $200 on eBay. Pair that with a ridiculous good deal on a FB marketplace gas air compressor (brand new, the owner cranked it up once, the noise scared her, and she never used it again), and 200’ of kuri-Tec 5/8” from a local hose supplier, and I’ve got less than $900 in a system that can be, and is, used for far more than just roofs. That air compressor has saved my butt a few times on flat tires and more. Never thought about dual feeding it, but I’ve got to try that now. I use that thing every day for chem transfer, but I still ds 50/50 out of 2 fivers at each house. I would just ds 100%, but I run injectors one size smaller than recommended for my machine, and love how it pulls soap like a freight train. Kills algae in less than a minute, so if I go straight sh, I’ve gotta play around with different injector sizes, else it’s too strong and wasting chems.

What’s got you thinking about going to a gas powered pump??

Need more distance. Most air systems I’ve ever seen don’t shoot any further that my 12V. Air systems good because you can throttle them down without hurting so very common in Fl where a lot of roofs you can walk. I need something that can shoot a long way. Plus could be an additional backup for rinsing since around 10gpm possible.

If you add a 12 volt pump to your DS injector you will reach further than any gas soft wash pump. You can realistically get 1.5-2 percent solution this way . Without investing in another system.
Shurflo 1.5gpm@150psi pump works good

Gas pumps can be a real pita if you use surfactant

Ive also been thinking about this i have a 2.1 Delavan pump. I want to be setup to do roofs by next spring. I have absolutely no compilation in roof cleaning and few in house cleaning. Here is my biggest competition:arrow_down::arrow_down::arrow_down:

So i guess really no competition other than $99 dollar guys.

It may work on not so dirty roofs. 3 percent minimum is usually required.

Rush exterior. The first thought that comes to mind is “rush and get this bs job over with” or “rush to the next meth den”

Add a 12v to your DS injector? I didn’t get much sleep last night so maybe I’m not thinking straight, but I’m not following you here. Care to explain?

More often called a booster pump. It’s a way to get higher sh percentage via downstream. I know what it is but don’t know how to do it and pros and cons. So much to learn!
