5.5gpm 12v with 1/2" line .not sure if i’ll be using 10% or 12.5% this year. So what are my options for a proportioner setup ?
I recommend the proportioner from PW Gadgets that @dperez makes. Good quality. Get their injector too if you want one that lasts. I used to buy one every few weeks until i bought his. It lasted all season last year. Bulletproof. You’ll save a lot in the long run!
I have not been sleeping over here! Constantly dreaming up ideas and prototyping to make it even better. It’s hardly needed but alas that is the “sickness” that plagues me.
Fun safe travels lol
why would want metal of any kind deal with heavy amounts of bleach?
My understanding is it’ll slowly corrode but it will still outlast plastic by a long shot.
how about southeast softwash version, then there is Apex, the cyclone etc
Thank you for bringing this up! I am aware of the chemical compatibility, on that note, I chose 6061 Aluminum because of its durability and cost effectiveness. This is a budget manifold after all. There are other material choices such as Titanium, Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel, Incoloy that would be better choices however these come with a unbelievably expensive cost for material and machining. Then you have your Poly’s although they are chemical resistant they are ill suited when it comes to a material that is strong and durable. With diligent rinsing/neutralizing practices you will get plenty of longevity for your money. Because we designed these ourselves we left a hefty amount of wall thickness throughout but letus not forget we’re dealing with SH here and at this budget price nothing is going to be bullet proof. Choose to focus on a system with fewer leak points, quality valves and a design with a secure way of mounting. Because that is exactly how you get the most bang for your buck. At $350 this is the nicest well thought out Blend Station!!! I’ll leave you with this, every single one are still in service to this day!
black block vs alum…
Can you easily make it with only two slots or whatever you want to call it?
You could plug the center and eliminate the center “leg”. Onesie or twosie parts really should be manually machined. At that point it would be more fun to saw cut the center out and section it then rejoin with a TIG weld.
Dos/SM valves vs GF valves ?
2 Port Proportioner 12V/AIR - Texas Pressure Washing Store
Like this contraption lol. I know you could plug but I want to make a small cart setup for fences and yours would could be cheaper and more compact maybe
Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant. $750 for that, yikes. Buyer beware with those Acrylic manifolds, they love to crack!
Why not make the manifolds out of teflon or nylon?
Because Teflon is very expensive and Nylon has a very poor resistance to SH. Originally I had the intention to surface coat the 6061 aluminum. This would then raise the chemical resistance to rival 316L SS. News flash, nobody wants it so it is what it is. Take it or leave it, I don’t care
Does your proportioner have a in or out on both the left and right side?
