Bought a new trailer with “2” X 8” treated yellow pine floor”. Looking to paint or seal it prior to installing equipment. Any suggestions?
I was thinking oil-based primer and exterior latex paint. The dealer suggested " EXOSHIELD APITONG OIL - THE ULTIMATE PROTECTION". But im not sure if an oil is enough.
you should have slapped that salesperson in the face when they spewed that nonsense word salad at you. exoshield - what does that even mean? Apitong is the name of a wood species from brazil that is denser that SYP or red oak. Oil- there you have it, what you would be using. Use used motor oil, new motor oil, or if you want to be fancy just some oil based semi transparent stain. Some people cut the used motor oil with diesel, some don’t. Just make sure it was filtered and you aren’t putting crap on it. 2 years or when it starts fading reapply.
