I blow the dust off my work boots if I need to be fancy.
I always wear them because Iām always welding, arc gouging, turning wrenches, running a chainsaw, or taking my wife out to dinner. I wonāt be wearing them when I finally start washing. At least starting out itāll be kakis and a company shirt. Iāll probably suffer from depression because of it too.
I donāt wear them to wash in either. Jeans and company shirt. But if Iām working in the shop or on a truck or whatever Iām in overalls
I ruined my $150 dress shoes I wear to work. Forgot my muck boots at home and washed a house Iām them. Spilled a little straight sh on them. They are wearable but I have to wax them every few days or the spots show.
Ouchā¦I donāt think Iāve ever spent more than like $40 on a pair of dress shoes. Funny how Iād never spend $150 on dress shoes but spend over $300 on work boots. Then again, I guess those boots are what I have to wear everyday. My feet are killing me in those $40 dress shoes after a couple hours of wearing them. I figure I can handle it a couple times a year. If it were anymore than that and Iād be asking you what kind you wear so I could buy a pair.
At least with boots you expect to ruin them. It would suck ruining those dress shoes because they are made to look nice. I bet you sure looked snazzy while washing though! It could be your trademarkā¦ Washing in a tux and dress shoes.
