Pricing storage unit

I am pretty new into the business and still working on pricing. I normally charge around $.11 a sq ft for a house. I was asked to quote cleaning a storage unit, there are 2 buildings each are 1 story (roughly 10ft tall) and about 10k sq ft each for a total of 20,000 sq ft. Should I charge the same price for a building like this as a house? thanks

Figure on 2 hours. $600

I need to be bidding on storage units!

Lol… minimum

You would not want to charge the same as a house on these. It seems like this building has a really large roof and the size of the walls isn’t represented by the squarefootage. I could be completely wrong. I think IBS suggested you charge based on how long you think it will take and how much you need to make an hour to keep a healthy profit.

What’s the exterior material. Pics would help.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread. I quoted $800 for the job bc I had to take water too. It took about 12 hrs to do bc I had several machine complications. It was metal doors and had some problems with the doors and they had oxidization and they kind of left some of the doors not looking the best. I only used like 1% SH based off of research that I did. I will try and upload some photos.

Show us pictures. Sometimes the metal doors have rust discoloration not from the metal doors on exterior, but from rust from the hinges on the other side.

so these are some of the problems that i ran across. I think it was ultimately because of the doors paint was coming off from oxidization. The second photo was from the owner asked me to just use soap on the doors just dried on the doors. I went back and hit the doors with a chemical called ALUMbright from Pressure Works and it made the doors look allot better.
