I know I know, but I was just wonder. Have some Milwaukee impacts and ratchets that are kind of greasy. Has anyone tried this? I think as long as you keep your nozzle far away enough that you wouldn’t hurt it as they are water resistant and I’m not submersing them. Though I have seen youtubers dunk their tools in 5 gallon pails..
Yay or nay? Maybe I should just dismantle the tools and pressure wash the plastic separately?

I’d probably vote nay. Milwaukee tools are definitely built to handle some moisture, but a pressure washer can force water past seals and into places it shouldn’t be. Even if nothing happens right away, it could cause issues down the road. Milwaukee’s own maintenance guidance recommends cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap rather than high-pressure water.
For greasy tools, I’d remove the battery, wipe them down with a degreaser on a rag or use cleaning wipes, then blow out the vents with compressed air. That’s also what a lot of Milwaukee users seem to recommend.
If you really want them looking like new, taking the plastic housing off and cleaning those parts separately is a much safer option than blasting the assembled tool with a pressure washer.
Definitely a nay on spraying assembled power tools. Even low PSI from a distance can force high-velocity water past the rubber seals and trigger switch gaps, which will ruin the electronics or wash out internal factory grease.
If you really want to pressure wash them, taking off the outer plastic clamshell housing and washing just the plastic shell separately works fine—just make sure it’s completely dry before reassembling.
Otherwise, spraying the tool down with a dedicated degreaser (like Simple Green) and using a stiff nylon brush with a shop rag is a much safer bet.
