Pressure Washing Choice?

Ok I have a 18 Inch 4200 Psi Quick Connect Surface Cleaner and I’m planning on doing pavement, driveways, sidewalks etc etc for the remainder of this season so people hear a bit about me and then next year start moving to siding, windows, roofing, everything and with this I’d be using softwashing. I have thousands saved and I want to start strong so what should I get this year for the surface cleaner that’ll be good for softwashing next year and still be able to put at least 3k-3.1k PSI for the surface cleaner which is what a lot of sites are saying it needs.

Ok slow down there.:flushed:

No on windows, pavement and roofs.

No need for multiple topics on the same question, I assure you. It won’t give your question more visibility, most people that use this forum just click on the “new” or “unread” button. There’s not a separate group you’re going to reach with another topic post.

What do you mean? I meant I’m planning on moving to windows and roofs next season with the new equipment I get

My overall question was what pressure washer will be relevant next year with softwashing but be able to run my surface cleaner this year and next year. That was all I meant

Yeah I’ve gotcha. I meant you didn’t need to post it in two places at once, you asked the same question in your other topic. I assure you it will not go unread

Well, if it were me, I’d be looking at any machine that meets the following criteria:
A) at least 5 gpm (the more the better when you get into soft washing)
B) at least 3000psi (so your surface cleaner will be able to effectively do well on old cement)
C) good local parts availability
D) just a preference, a honda engine, or briggs, or if it’s a chinese engine, somewhere I can swap it on warranty locally without a lot of headache or cost.

There’s lots of different machines that fill that criteria. The color of the paint really doesn’t make a lot of difference.

Multiple people have said a 5.5gpm/3000+ would be relevant for softwashing and still give you enough psi for your surface cleaner to wreck some new concrete. Add a bypass tank and a little trailer and you’re good to go

The answer I was looking for, thank you!

Be sure to post what machine you’re thinking about purchasing before doing so. Or, if you can give a price range of what you’re wanting to spend we can give you a few to choose from.

Just something to run a 4200 PSI surface cleaner, overall budget is 4-5k for everything and I haven’t bought anything yet. I just need something that’ll work well for soft washing next year

The 4200 psi of the surface cleaner is the maximum pressure you’re suppose to use. You can and want to use a much lower psi than that.

Where are you located. There may be dudes in your area that can point you in the right direction of a good local vendor. You should find a vendor you can trust and stick with them. It saves a lot of headaches.

Yeah so 3.1-4.2 PSI and I wasn’t sure on GPM since I’m softwashing next year

Your SC will be where you use the maximum pressure, and 3k psi is plenty. Your goal of being able to use your equipment to softwash next year will be better met focusing on how many gpm you have to rinse with.

What GPM do you reccomend?

5.5. Rinses a lot faster and reaches higher peaks better than 4.

For the love of SH change your profile picture, reminds me of a gimp suit.
