Pressure Washing a Restauraunt Issues

Hey guys, so I have started on my first ever business and went to the route of pressure washing. I had a dewalt 2.5 gpm 3600 psi machine that I already had and bought an xjet for it to get started. I got a job at a well known restaurant in my area that I work at, and my dewalt surface cleaner broke mid job, before I got to finish the entire thing (was actually the third one after getting multiple replacements for free, they keep breaking. It is meant for that machine as well, just a terrible product). How should I complete the job? Any well made surface cleaner will not fit my machine and just need advice here.

Better machine and surface cleaner?

If it were me I would try to get commercial grade equipment to work with, it will be a headache if you don’t. I applaud your hustle though, we all start somewhere. Just ask yourself how do I want to start. Much success!

You could wand it if you have to, if it’s not too big of an area.

Its a pretty decent sized area.I I’m 16 and haven’t had a job for long so I only have around 2,000 saved up and preferably wouldn’t want to spend all of it, but would be willing to if it was absolutely necessary. What would be a good setup for me to start out with?

Minimum 4 gpm but preferably at least 5.5 gpm, surface cleaner a whisper wash classic or whisper wash ultra clean.

I use heated water for restaurant stuff but can be done with cold water machine, just need to use the right chemicals. Hot would be better though for the grease, etc…

@CLille check out your local power equipment rental places. There’s likely a Sunbelt Rentals, United Rentals, and more not far from you. But be sure to check the smaller local companies as well. They should be able to hook you up with a decent machine and surface cleaner to rent, whether it be by the half day, day, week, etc. Try out a unit and see how it works for you. Not as efficient as you’d like, try renting a different combination. This would at least get the job done and you paid. You might not make any profit - depending on how you bid the job - but it could help you save face with the customer as well as open your eyes to more efficient equipment. Good luck with it!
