As much as your budget will allow…but for a job like this 5-8 gpm…3000-3500 psi would be the range.
If you wish to double or triple the project time then cold water will work just fine, but you will also be relying on chems more, so now double or triple the project costs.
Using only 1 machine to clean 225,000 (+/-) sq. ft. by inexperienced personnel will again double or triple (if not more) project costs, not to mention any damage they may cause.
How will you be handling the waste water generated by the project? What are the regulations in your area? Depending on the area, illegal discharge of waste water can mean 10’s of thousands in fines and/or jail time.
I would be pushing it into drains we have on every floor. At least thats what i had planned. My job is at Virginia Beach VA, i should probably investigate the laws, i wasnt aware that dirty water was a big concern.

Oh I can guarantee there are some “Stiff” laws in the Va. Beach area. Is there a reason your Company isn’t hiring a Professional Company for this project?
We are looking to save money in the long run, have the ability to pressure wash areas of concern as they arise, and to work on washing all our parking deck which hasn’t been done in a long time due to high maintenance costs.

Being from an Industrial-Property Maintenance field most of my life I understand your position, but I would like to point out that the reason the parking deck is in the condition it’s in now is not because of “Saving Money” it’s because the “Powers That Be” have seen this as an unnecessary expense and choose to spend the money (that they have) in other areas. This has gone on for some time now and now you’re catching up on years of neglect in the hopes of “Saving Money”…which is futile.
Please understand I am not trying to “get” your business I am merely pointing out the your current course of action will be wasted money with sub-standard results.
I’m sure if you check, this property is worth several million dollars. Proper cleaning will add more value to the property, and will be safer from a liability standpoint.
It’s is the law you must have a water recovery system. the fines can be as high as 25000.00. Do yourself a favor and hire a pro it will take them 1/8 of the time it will take you. you will actually save money This way.
