Got it. Thanks!
If you’re building a trailer go with all 18’s. Truck build you can go smaller except for the water, but you’re going to be limited on amount of hose. See the chart below and where it shows #of feet per size of hose for a certain width, that’s rolling it up absolutely perfect. Realistically deduct about 50 ft from all of those.
Great chart, thanks.
So the guide is now on Amazon. I hope everyone found it useful and continues to use it.
Pressure Washing 101 Guide: How To Start Your Business
Thank you, @TexasPressureWashing, for all of the guides and information!
@TexasPressureWashing, for one half second i was upset the free version of the pressure washing 101 guide disappeared and then during the other half second i realized id be happy to pay such a low price for all the work you put in to it. Thanks!
Just one question related to the cover of your book… how many gold bars do you charge per housewash? Im just trying to figure out spring pricing.
Hahahaha ![]()
Also for everyone if you purchase a copy of the paperback email me sales@texaspw.com or PM me a picture of it and I will send you the ebook for free so the links work for you.
Very nice, started reading your manuel last night in bed on kindle, I didn’t last long but that was due to long day of airport hustling not your content very impressed. I’ve been pressure washing occasionally for years along with my construction and remodeling work, but as I’m getting older I’m trying to go full time on it and get away from some of the harder on the body work, very glad I found this forum, can’t wait to learn more!
Thank you for the support. I hope it helps you and you enjoy it.
I don’t understand, you’re teaching social media marketing when you have under half a year of experience and less than 100 jobs under your belt? Even if you and your partner have surpassed 100 jobs I just don’t believe anyone with such a minimal amount of experience should feel they have the right to teach anything. Not trying to offend anyone but this just boggles my mind.
They asked me to talk about it from the standpoint of a beginner. I started off explaining how long I’ve been washing and how many jobs I’ve done.
I explained what I’ve done so far and what’s worked for me.
I don’t claim to be an expert on anything. I just have a decent grasp of the basics (I think).
I also spoke about having a plan vs buying a 4/4 and starting with no plan.
Kind of a common sense approach.
It also was a free conference so I didn’t feel like I was wasting anyone’s time sharing what’s worked for me so far. I’m definitely in the trial and error phase.
What’s wild is I brought 7 paperbacks to sell and they sold out in 10 seconds. I didn’t expect to sell any honestly.
The whole experience was very “wild” to me.
I do understand where you’re coming from about “right” but I also will help where I can and admit when I cannot or don’t have the experience to even offer input.
I like helping people so I’m basically sharing what I’m trying as I’m trying it and the results of it.
If I was telling people “buy my book you’ll get rich” or “do what I’m doing and you’ll kill it” I think that would be massively misleading and outright lying.
Okay well that makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking. As long as these folks are aware of where you’re coming from and your time in the industry, than it’s not what I thought. I seen the photo and almost got offended in a way. It takes years of experience to teach in any industry.
I have to admit I had professors at school that had been teaching 20+ years that were downright awful. They had the degrees, titles, and publications. But I gladly would’ve taken a grad assistant teaching it over them any day. ![]()

So maybe it cuts both ways. ![]()
What’s “NG”?
“New guy”?
What popped up in google is definitely what NG does NOT mean in this context.
And it looks like you didn’t get the memo on what color shirt to wear. Lol.
Everyone had on blue.
NG is a joke between Jim and I. We have spoken several times and finally got to meet in person. Which was awesome. Same for a couple other guys. I’ve helped a lot of people work through basic builds and was able to meet a lot of them which was awesome.
I’ve helped several local guys and got to reconnect with several that made it.
I met some old pros as well and they were flat out awesome. Helpful, insightful, professional, and shared wisdom freely.
The networking aspect was the best part of it.
I was also asked to put my rig in the demo area and showed a lot of people the difference between a 5.5GPM and 8GPM as well as the AODD system. So that was cool.
I got a blue shirt as well but they asked me to wear and instructor shirt when speaking. She rocked the blue better anyway.
So many people asked me about the orange sunglasses I had to rock them that day ![]()
I just hope you sold a bunch of books. Can’t wait for the royalty checks to start pouring in.
Dude, as your friend, you need to get out in the field with your girl some more. Picture not doing you justice.
