Pressure Washer Products machine

Howdy. From what I’ve been readingon this forum, this machine is looking like a good deal to me. What do you guys think? It’s 5@3k with a general pump. I’ve heard mixed things about pwp on this forum. I just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything in the fine print or about to make a decision I’ll regret…

I’m doing windows from my truck that’s covered with a shell. For the time being I’m aiming to use the machine weekly not daily. Does anyone foresee any major problems if i run the machine on my tailgate connected to a 35gal buffer in the back of the bed? I was worried about too much heat and not enough ventilation. I could leave the side windows open I guess. Any thoughts? Anything else I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate all you guys taking time out to reply

Here’s a picture of what i’m working with

Yeah you’re definitely going to need a trailer. Buy once cry once is your best option

Agree on a trailer, 5x8 doesn’t cost much.

I have to ask though, you’re ‘doing windows’, with a pressure washer? I see the DI tanks…

He’s talking about his window cleaning equipment he keeps in the truck, not cleaning windows with the PW.

Eventually the goal is to get a van. If possible, i’m trying to make the truck work for now. This small garage is all the space i have to park equipment, I can’t do a trailer at the moment. I can make room in here to house a small buffer tank and to load a pw and reel when I need it. I really don’t want to load and unload the pw on the job though, hoping i can run it from in the bed if that’s safe.

I’ve been doing research on which machine would be best for my situation, but i would like to make this purchase before the end of the year so I appreciate your input. Just want to make sure I’m not buying a piece of junk

It’ll be fine for what you need. Just turn it where exhaust aims out the rear, long as it’s out near tailgate should be ok.

@treacherousbogart you could consider a bed slide. That’ll make it easier to access things further up in the bed. I’ve never owned one so I can’t say from experience as to how well they work but it might be worth looking in to.

Just know that the specs on that machine are not accurate.

For 5gpm, you really need a buffer tank. Also, I noticed this in the description:

“NOT MEANT TO BE CHANGED INTO A SKID UNIT AS THE SKID MAY CRACK”

That doesn’t really inspire confidence. And a lot of people will tell you to go with a steel frame, as aluminum will eventually crack due to the prolonged vibrations.

I would find a skid mounted unit with similar specs (3000 psi @ 5gpm is a bit optimistic, though, with that motor). I have a 5.5@2500 pressure pro and have been quite happy with it. But I do practically zero flatwork, so take my advice with that in mind

If 4/4 is achievable with a GX390, why not 5/3000?

4/4000 isn’t achievable with a 390

Man, someone needs to get a bunch of machines and test every one to verify once and for all what they actually put out.:flushed:

My life is a lie, no such thing as a 4/4?

I was thinking the same thing. I’d like to mount it eventually too.

That’s good to know about the specs being off. If this is closer to 2500 psi i could live with that as long as I’m getting at least 5gpm. Actually I just saw a 5.5@2500 on kec

same motor, but i can’t tell which general pump it is :face_with_monocle:
Free shipping is nice though

:exploding_head:

You can build an electric start gear drive 5.5GPM @ 2500 PSI for about $1500 vs that pull start for $1799.

I just helped a guy build a Koehler pull start 14HP rig with a. 5.5GPM 3000 PSI pump. He was seeing 2700PSI at the end of 200ft of hose.

That motor cost him $575 locally (Houston), pump and gearbox $600, skid $70.

I highly doubt they’ll ship that for free; call them and ask. Freight has gotta be $200+ for one of those.

Heath’s (@TexasPressureWashing) suggestion is a good one. Source your motor locally, and order a pump and gearbox to bolt onto it.
