Pressure washer bleach

I have the pressure washer; Excell
3100 PSI 2.8 GPM 212cc OHV Gas Pressure Washer
is this pump ok to use bleach? (I’m guessing this is a down steam injector and ok to use bleach, but i don’t know for sure) thanks

Is that 1/4 Line

yes 1/4

I just LOVE a good laugh. My eyes water, so THAT’S a good laugh! Thanks for the levity.

He can use that to pull bleach. It won’t hurt the pump. That pump isn’t long for this world if it gets used more than a few times a year anyhow.

It’s fine. Just make sure you get the 2-part bleach. If you can’t find uncatalyzed bleach by itself, the combo pack is fine. You can throw away the little bottle of catalyst.

I have no idea what uncatalyzed bleach is… I just get normal either 8.25% at target or 12.5% at the pool store and dilute that with water.

What about a catalytic converter? Doesn’t that like amp up the strength of bleach to over 50%?

For your own personal use or for commercial business use?

Want to year a joke about sodium? Na…

How about sodium hypobromite? NaBrO…

personal use, after one use i can’t even get my stuff to siphon anymore…I did take the chemical injector off but i didnt se a ball, but there was a spring. No idea what it work the other day and not today.

Would this be a better siphon to use with my pressure washer?

I would take the injector nipple off of your pump and cap it with a brass plug and then get an inline injector like the one in that link. You want to make sure that the injector that you use is matched to the gallons per minute (GPM) of your machine or it won’t work properly.

Here’s another option:

You can order the brass plug from there too. You also will need to convert the pressure out side over to quick connect fittings. You currently have the threaded connections and the injector won’t go inline unless you get adapters.
You might be able to thread the new injector right into the pump depending on the fitting size.

In any case you have to make sure that you thoroughly rinse the injector after each use by running A LOT OF CLEAN WATER through it or the bleach will corrode it and you’ll be back to square one.

thanks i may do this… based on on amazon i believe that MI TM will fit my 2.8gpm nicely… Do i have to plug up the originally pressure washer siphon? Will take take away pressure from the new siphon?

If my pressure washer hose is 1/4 in. high pressure hose, do i need the 1/4 connects then?

Is it possible my chemical injector could have gone bad after one use? I just don’t get how it doesn’t work after one use, Is it possible the bleach ruined it?

I found it odd when i took the chemical injector off, i couldn’t find the ball bearing.

Yes it’s possible but if you only used the unit one time, I would file a warranty claim or take it back to where you got it instead of trying this work around.
