Powerflow Problems

So i have the Briggs & Stratton Powerflow pressure washer and the pump wont syphon abd the powerflow wont work either. I cleaned the syphon inlet already.

The high pressure still works and my rotator had been working but wasnt on my last job. Itd spin a little but not anywhere near where it should.

TIA guys.

Make a 50/50 mix of gas and diesel and fill the gas tank. You just need the inner slap rods to be lubricated by the diesel. Run it about 20 minutes without pulling the trigger and you should be good to go

How often should i do this? Does it matter mine is gas only? Thanks again

Don’t do that. Lol.

Are you using that machine “professionally”?

I pressure wash now and then for extra cash. What do you suggest? Ive used bleach in my syphon but rarely and flush it after. Ive used it probably less than 30 times altogether.

Even for extra cash, buy a better machine.

For your own driveway or house once a year, buy a better machine.

Briggs and Stratton are junk in general in my opinion, but even worse when they come out with something gimmicky like the “Powerflow”. It’ll probably cost you the same to fix it as it does to just buy another one.

Cant afford one at the moment. I got one picked out though. I thought B&S was a good brand? The Powerflow worked pretty good for awhile.

It’s called cognitive dissonance. You don’t want to have spent money and felt good about it only to realize later you made a mistake. Consider it tuition.

I’d go through 10 Hondas before ever considering a Briggs and then I’d go through 10 Briggs in the span of 1 Honda. Just being honest man. Not a good machine to make money with.

Not disagreeing with you. I just heard they were good so thats what i went with. My next one wont be one. I just want to know if the advice above can help me out till i get a better one.

No. Your pump is bad. Has nothing to do with the engine.

Been looking at this one. Cant seem to select the cat 5cp pump though. I heard that was a good one.

…Was meant as a joke. It will destroy the machine for sure.

I wasnt sure. Im no expert on this stuff. I googled it and others seemed to know of similar methods although not at that ratio. Glad i didn’t try it lol

You can wash houses with that pressure pro just fine. Just understand gpm is king.

What is powerflow you are referring to?

What about this one? The psi drops to 2500psi but it has 5.5gpm. Costs more too.

Good machine

It’s a setting where you can either get gpm or psi, but not both out of a small machine. It’s basically a boosted garden hose.

That’s the best option I’ve seen so far.
