Power Washing or Pressure Washing for business description

Your family is from Spain :es: - I love Europe. Do you speak fluent Spanish, reading, writing and conversing. Yeah I respect how you are learning the trade as opposed to jumping in uneducated. Don’t be afraid to make that jump into the water though. Get insurance and other docs then buy a $700 4gpm unit, a floor cleaner go.

It’s almost even, I like the sound of power wash and and it is more accurate and inclusive after reading @Patriotspwashing kind above post on google keyword finder. Pressure washing took the lead. :unamused:

Please don’t attempt to give out any advice yet. Give it some time, learn, learn some more, and get a good amount of experience under your belt first.

@anon37135677 true true and i agree generally with your point. He will do with it what he chooses, but I would encourage anyone on the fence putting time and research into (any of our service fields, i.e. window cleaning, duct cleaning, landscaping) to not be overwhelmed and to protect yourself legally, buy entry line equipment and just get out there and start churning business.

700 unit isn’t even entry level. it’s a once a year home owner unit. if you’re going to be serious about your business then invest in professional equipment. if the budget won’t allow rent until it does

Difference of opinion. Buying a direct drive gx390 for okay more than 700 but $800, learning to downstream softwash, some basics in the business and even if the field is for him. Then buying a belt drive 5.5 or 8 when further and using the old direct for spare portable unit. Compared to renting one or outright buying. If he is studying for months or years, getting a loan and jumping in head first with a business partner. Maybe it would be more logical to go quality first round.

Buddy, maybe you mean well, maybe you are here to intentionally screw with new guys and say stupid stuff. I don’t know and hopefully everyone sees thru this foolishness. In the meantime, you should probably talk about window cleaning or something that you are familiar with.

I don’t mean to be a jerk, but I’m pretty sure we have a policy here of posting only in English. I don’t believe any of the moderators are bilingual, so it helps us keep a handle on everything if we can understand what’s being written. I don’t bring it up unless I see whole paragraphs that I can’t understand

I agree. It looks like it’s region specific.
When I started working as a college student cleaning decks back in the 90’s my company that I worked for only ever called it “power washing” (and we were using cold water).
Using the tool from the link that @Patriotspwashing gave us (thanks for the link btw), it looks like “power washing” is way more popular for my area than “pressure washing”. 260 searches a month vs 170 searches a month for Sept 2018 - Aug 2019.
