Power washing business lucrative?

Who me?

To be fair I did create an endless loop of pressure once.

That being said, stop attempting to give advice on this forum. There’s a lot of valuable information to search for on here and it would suck if you steered a newb in the wrong direction.

What??

Some people that give the best advice have done all the wrong things…

Meh, my business is almost fully automated and I have a simple house washing system in place. I pretty much just need to answer the phone and my workers do the jobs. I am learning to keep it as simple as possible so everything is predictable.

Say what you want, my customers are happy and I am running my business legally now.

Really if that’s true then why did you put the siamese together wrong

Look at his original post. He wants to attempt quite a bit of different work. Plus has no trailer, insurance, etc. I say he needs a minimum of 15k for all that

I was considering doing concrete with it to speed it up and make it profitable for me. But there is obviously some issues that can easily happen so that idea is scrapped.

I will most likely not buy 8gpm machines. They are to expensive and two 4gpm machines lets me have two people soap and rinse separate sides.

He should focus on finding a niche and doing mostly only that one thing. Mine is vinyl siding cleaning. Thats about it. The roof thing is starting to take off, but I am not sure about that. My workmans comp covers it and so does my gl. I just feel it’s to risky, but the money is like double-triple per job…

I would so like to meet the people who work for you. It’s hard to believe they follow someone who has zero idea what they are doing

I know what I am doing when it comes to vinyl siding and house washes. You also need to hire people who are smarter or more able than you. I did not know my engine was stalling out cause it was low on oil, but the worker let me know so theres that too…

No no you dont. If you are writing the checks you should have the knowledge.

@bpowerwashingis not anywhere qualified to give any advice. If he knew as much as he thinks he does he’d be a genius. if you just want to start out doing residential get a 5gpm belt drive and a whisper wash classic. find a used tandem trailer in decent shape and get a tote tank. feel free to reach out to me if you need any help. I’ve done about 4 trailer builds in the year getting a trailer the way I want it. I do some residential but pushing the commercial more. With a 5gpm you can add a hot box later as you pick up more commercial. Some will tell you that you don’t need hot water and that’s true if you’re not popping gum and cleaning grease on a continuous basis. listen to the guys that have been here a while. you can click on their profile and that’ll give you an idea who to listen to and who to ignore. good luck. just out of curiosity why are you getting out of nursing. my wife’s been a nurse 27 years and it’s a tough field. it’s not what it used to be since now days accountants make more decisions about medical care than doctors.

Okay, tell that to all the businesses owners who have their employees write software and do engineering or hospitals who hire specialzed people for their knowledge…

We are not talking about that we are talking about the pressure washing industry and you being the owner of a company. When the leader doesn’t know what direction to go in everyone in the group is lost
